Duties & Responsibilities: Guards, patrols, or monitors premises, facilities and other areas to prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules Secures facility and protects facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events
Answers alarms and investigates disturbances
Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, gates, etc.
Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehends or evicts violations for premises, using force if necessary
Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities
Minimum Training & Experience: High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience and POST certified.
Agency Specific Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and two years of related experience, Post Certified.
Two years of college or an Associate degree, Post Certified.
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Passing a pre-employment drug test and a background check is required upon hire.
