Annual Salary Minimum: $26,672.14
Annual Salary Maximum: $46,816.96
Salary Details: The starting salary for this position is $36,520.32.

Duties & Responsibilities: Under close supervision, perform entry level work learning to conduct surveys and research on Federal-aid and State-aid transportation projects to identify and document historic resources which are eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, to compare alternates, to assess effects of the proposed transportation projects to those resources, to prepare documentation concerning such resources and effects to them in accordance with various State and Federal environmental laws and regulations, and to complete mitigation of adversely affected resources. Serve as a liaison between the Georgia Department of Transportation and other State and Federal agencies and private parties concerned with historic resources of the state.

Minimum Training & Experience:
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
*Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Architectural History, Architecture or Historic Architecture or a closely related field in accordance with the Secretary of Interior Standards with requisite experience (i.e. experience in fieldwork (survey) and resource identification)
*Possesses familiarity with related legislation such as the National Historic Preservation Act (knowledge in this area is typically obtained through a bachelor's degree in history, historical preservation, or a closely related field.)

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: *Experience reading and understanding plans, maps, and/or aerial photographs.
