Annual Salary Minimum: $50,000.00
Annual Salary Maximum: $60,000.00
Salary Details: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Dean of Industrial and Transportation Technology, develops and coordinates programs within the Engineering Technology Department. This includes program development, partnership management and some classroom instruction. Manages the USDOL TAACCCT Engineering Technology grant that funds this position. Grant management includes total project management and report development and submission. Classroom instruction includes preparing and reviewing lesson plans. It also includes the following: 1) Develops and reviews program and syllabi, goals and objectives according to approved curriculum and course syllabi standards. 2) Evaluates and reviews students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. 3) Advises and counsels students and maintains appropriate advisement records on each student. 4) Demonstrates and insures the use of appropriate and effective teaching techniques, testing and grading procedures (including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements), and oral and written communication skills. Program Coordination and Classroom Instruction. Maintains and reviews classrooms and laboratories in accordance with approved classroom and lab management plans. Maintains and reviews program certification requirements, as appropriate. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts. Demonstrates and insures instructor knowledge of current practices in the Engineering Technology and related fields. Maintains and insures instructorsí qualifications for employment as described by the Atlanta Technical College, Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and accreditation standards. Finally, the Engineering Technology Instructor/ Program Coordinator follows and enforces rules and regulations as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution. Applicant must be able to select and assess student learning outcomes, foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings, and promote good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector.

Minimum Training & Experience: A degree from an accredited college or university *and* completed courses comparable with the curriculum taught. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelorís Degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field. Three years of industry OR teaching/training experience within the last seven years in Engineering or closely related industry. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work flexible hours when necessary. Must possess the ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to individuals and groups.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masterís Degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field. One year instructor/training experience AND Three years of industry experience within the last seven years in Engineering or closely related industry.
