Admissions Advisor LOCATION: DeKalb and Newton Campuses (Three Positions)


Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Services, the Admissions Advisor supports prospective students through the enrollment process from inquiry through the admissions process and orientation. This position provides student-centered guidance related to admissions requirements, residency verification, enrollment steps, placement processes, and onboarding expectations. The Admissions Advisor works collaboratively with Enrollment Services, Recruitment and Outreach, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Academic Affairs to support enrollment conversion and student success. All applicants must fully complete an online application, and upload all preemployment documents requested = (resume, unofficial transcripts, and cover letter.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides guidance to prospective and admitted students regarding admissions requirements, enrollment procedures, residency documentation, and onboarding processes. • Assists students with application completion, admissions documentation, account activation, registration readiness, and orientation preparation. • Reviews student records and admissions documents for completeness and accuracy in Banner and related systems. • Provides general information regarding placement, program entry requirements, financial aid processes, and registration expectations. • Supports new student orientation, registration events, and enrollment initiatives designed to improve applicant conversion and enrollment. • Maintains communication with applicants through phone, email, CRM platforms, and other outreach methods to support enrollment progression. • Collaborates with Recruitment and Outreach staff to ensure effective transition from inquiry to applicant and enrolled student. • Assists students with troubleshooting enrollment barriers and refers students to appropriate campus resources when needed. • Participates in college events, outreach activities, and enrollment campaigns as assigned. • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and Saturdays, as needed for enrollment events. • Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

• Knowledge of admissions, enrollment, and onboarding processes within a higher education environment.

• Experience using Banner and related student systems to support admissions and enrollment activities.

• Experience using CRM and student communication platforms to support applicant outreach and follow-up.

• Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students, families, faculty, and staff.

• Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced enrollment environment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two (2) years of related work experience.


SALARY: The salary for this position is $48,000.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a closely related field *and* Two (2) years of experience in an educational environment - -Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-to-year basis.
