If so, the Georgia Forestry Commission's central dispatch center may be perfect for you! We are looking for a few
exceptional people to be the safety line for our wildland firefighters. You will need to communicate well, be able to handle
multiple phone calls, and exercise good judgment. Typing skills are essential!
Part time hours make this position ideal for working around school schedules and other commitments. As an added bonus, you'll have an inside track on promotional opportunities elsewhere in our agency.
The shifts available is 7AM-3PM or 1PM-10PM with work days alternating on a two week cycle and your duties will include:
- Dispatching wildland fire equipment and personnel to wildfires and other emergencies.
- Receiving and processing burn permit requests.
- Dispatching appropriate personnel to investigate smoke complaints.
- Answering general requests for information and other services, or connecting the customer to the right person.

This is a part time position with no heath insurance, sick, or annual leave benefits. However there is a pension plan and
