Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Marketing Specialist II (Graphic Design) position in the Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations division. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Communications, Marketing, & Public Relations, the Full-Time Marketing Specialist II (Graphic Design) position is responsible for leading the design, production, and implementation of print and digital marketing materials while ensuring consistency with Atlanta Technical College and Technical College System of Georgia brand standards. The position also supports marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, website content, photography, and multimedia projects that advance the college's strategic goals.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Serve as the lead designer for Atlanta Technical College's marketing and communication initiatives
- Conceptualize, design and produce high-quality visual communications for print & digital platforms
- Create brochures, catalogs, recruitment materials, annual reports, newsletters, posters, banners signage, advertisements, presentations and event materials.
- Design digital assets for websites, social media channels, email campaigns, digital advertising and video productions.
- Create infographics, illustrations, motion graphics and branded templates to support institutional communications.
- Ensure consistent application of college and TCSG branding standards across all visual communications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop creative concepts that effectively communicate key messages and institutional priorities.
- Coordinate print production processes and work with external vendors to ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain a digital asset management system that includes photographs, graphics, logos, templates and brand resources.
- Stay current on graphic design trends, technologies and best practices to enhance the college's visual identity.
- Capture and edit professional photographs of students, faculty, staff, events and campus activities.
- Support the development and implementation of institutional marketing campaigns.
- Protect and strengthen the Atlanta Technical College brand through consistent messaging and visual identity standards.
- Design promotional materials for college events, ceremonies, outreach activities, and special programs; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of marketing and advertising principles
- Knowledge of social media marketing
- Advance proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Adobe lnDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Oral and written communication skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of directly related work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) or more years of professional experience in graphic design, creative services, or marketing communications.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing expertise in print and digital design.
