Field position
Under supervision, the Safety Inspector performs inspections for compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards of elevators, carnival and amusement park rides, and boiler and pressure vessels to ensure safety and compliance.
Knowledgeable of changes in state, OSHA, NFPA, and other safety codes and regulations as applicable.
Interpret and administer regulatory issues, technical issues, and analytical data to document compliance with safety laws and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
Monitor and record functionality and location of emergency equipment and other related items.
Plan and coordinate inspections and audits of assigned facilities/sites for procedural compliance, or to maintain appropriate accreditation.
Provide guidance and consultation regarding safety inspections and other related activities.
Utilize a variety of monitoring, sampling, and analytical equipment and instruments to gather and enter data records.
Perform training, data management, and related equipment maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
