The Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) Office of Quick Start is seeking a Training Coordinator for Automation, Advanced Manufacturing. As a Training Coordinator for Quick Start, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of world-class manufacturing technology training programs. Working closely with client companies, instructors, and internal teams, you will develop innovative workforce training solutions that support new and expanding manufacturers across Georgia. You’ll have the unique ability to help Quick Start continue to grow and enhance our curriculum to meet client needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the design, development, and delivery of Industry 4.0 training curriculum in accordance with Quick Start standards and client needs.
  • Coordinates with Creative Services and Media departments to support innovative learning methods and instructional delivery.
  • Prepares and coaches Training Specialists and Instructors in the delivery of new courses and learning methodologies.
  • Leads the design, development, and assembly of Industry 4.0 training systems and hands-on learning environments.
  • Leads on-site client workforce and training needs assessments.
  • Works with instructors and leadership to ensure consistent methods, standards, and training quality are maintained.
  • Training areas include:
    • PLC control systems
    • Industrial automation and robotics
    • Industrial networking and control systems
    • Industry 4.0 technologies
    • Mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires travel throughout Georgia to support client training initiatives and workforce assessments.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, automation technology, manufacturing technology, industrial technology, or a related field, plus five (5) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstrated experience in advanced manufacturing environments with expertise in automation systems, PLC controls, robotics, industrial networking, equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and related technologies is required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in industrial automation technology, controls engineering, robotics, or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar industrial automation platforms.
  • Experience with industrial networking technologies.
  • Experience developing technical training materials, curriculum, or instructional content.
  • Experience leading technical training projects or teams.
  • Instructional systems design knowledge and experience applying adult learning principles.
  • Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and Two (2) years of work related experience--Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
