Albany Technical College seeks a well-qualified, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Audio Visual - Event Technical Specialist. Under general supervision, the Audio Visual Event Technical Specialist will provide assistance to faculty and staff for instructional delivery, computer networks, interactive whiteboards, and multimedia workstations. He/she may facilitate educational training and assist with maintaining an inventory system for all audio/visual and technological equipment. He/she will be responsible for coordinating equipment setup for events on campus, at the Phoebe Living Learning Center, and assisting in the operation of audio/visual equipment for other campus event locations. The Audio Visual – Event Technical Specialist must demonstrate theoretical and practical experience in web-based technology applications, including on demand and streaming video capture and processing. The candidate must possess customer service, written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and organized, willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings & weekends, and be a self-starter.
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate MUST possess an Associate’s Degree *AND* have three (3) years of work related experience. Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: The candidate MUST have at least two (2) years of work related experience in an educational environment.
Physical Demands: Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.
