About Us:
Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta is situated on 174 acres in DeKalb County, about three miles from the city of Atlanta. Our three major program areas include Adult Mental Health, Forensic Services, and Developmental Disabilities with a catchment area that includes all of metro Atlanta and extends to the northwestern state borders. Job Description:
In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams in an acute inpatient setting, serving adults with severe mental illness, trauma histories, impulse control issues, and interpersonal challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include providing psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, individual therapy, and group interventions to support the recovery of the people we serve.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Competency in providing services to diverse clients
- Experience working with psychiatric inpatients and individuals with Serious Mental Illness
- Excellent writing and organizational skills
- Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in psychological assessment
Employment Requirements:
Doctoral degree (Ph.D/Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from an APA approved graduate school, completion of an APA approved pre-doctoral internship with forensic rotation, and eligibility for Georgia psychology license.

This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.
